What is Scrooms?
Scrooms is an open-world adventure set in a sound-based fantasy realm. You use magical instruments like the lute, fiddle, guitar, violin, tambourine and ocarina to catch Scrooms, then sell them for chimes, the game's currency, or log them in the Scroomdex. Mutated Scrooms are worth more, boots unlock movement like double jump, glide and speed, and ocarina songs open hidden areas and teleport you around.
Its developers say the progression takes inspiration from Fisch, and it shows: you catch, sell, upgrade your instrument and unlock new zones, starting in the first world and moving on to the Bluestone Caverns. New to the game? Start with our Scrooms beginner guide.
How the Scrooms catching minigame works
- Play to draw a Scroom inEquip your instrument and start playing near a Scroom.
- Hit the ringClick as the spinning tick lines up with the target. Perfect timing earns more XP.
- Tune your instrumentBalance the needle on the marker before the Scroom commits. A faster Tune Speed makes this quicker.
- Keep it in the catch zoneHold and release to keep the Scroom inside the moving zone. The progress bar fills while it's inside and drains if it slips out. When the bar is full, the Scroom is yours.
Boss Scrooms use a separate arena catch with rhythm-slider bars to match for a Perfect Catch.
Why use a Scrooms macro?
Some quests need every Scroom in the index. A macro keeps catching while you're away.
You need level 25 to earn the speed boots and reach the Bluestone Caverns. Every catch is XP.
More catches means more Scrooms to sell, and more chimes for better instruments.

How to macro Scrooms in 5 steps
- Download ExoPanda and install Scrooms from the Apps tab.
