TDS Macro Download & Setup
Luxi's free Tower Defense Simulator macro, and exactly how to install it and get your first AFK run going
Download the latest TDS Macro release from Luxi’s GitHub, extract the zip and run main.exe (click More info → Run anyway if SmartScreen warns you). Open Tower Defense Simulator, set your in-game UI scale to Default, click Dock Roblox, pick or record a strategy, equip the same towers, and press F4. F5 stops it.
Grinding Tower Defense Simulator means playing the same map again and again. Luxi's TDS Macro (the app is titled "Tower Defense Macro") plays it for you. It picks the map, lines up your camera, places and upgrades towers at the right wave, presses Play Again, and keeps going until you stop it. Asphalt Cake's channel calls it the best external, non-injecting macro for TDS, and it's completely free on GitHub.
This guide covers the download, install, first-time setup, every main tab and the most common fixes.
What the TDS macro can do
- Places and upgrades towers from a recorded strategy
- Selects the map and difficulty for you
- Aligns your camera before placing anything
- Replays matches automatically (Play Again)
- Records your own strategies while you play
- Shares strategies as import and export codes
- Docks the Roblox window inside the app
- Tracks coins and gems earned per session
Requirements
How to download and install the TDS macro
- Open the GitHub releases pageGo to github.com/SirLuxi/TDS-Macro/releases. This is the developer's official page.
- Download the latest zipUnder Assets, click the
TDSMacrozip for the newest version. Each release also links a VirusTotal scan you can check first. - Extract itRight-click the zip and choose Extract All. Keep every file together in one folder; the app needs them.
- Run main.exeIf Windows SmartScreen shows a blue warning, click More info → Run anyway. New apps without a paid code-signing certificate always get this warning.
- Delete old versionsWhen you update, the developer advises removing the previous version first so old files don't clash.
First-time setup
- Set your UI scale to DefaultIn TDS settings, set the in-game UI scale to Default. The macro finds buttons by how they look on screen, so a different scale is the top cause of misclicks.
- Dock RobloxWith TDS open, click Dock Roblox. The game window snaps into the macro so it's always the right size. Undock releases it.
- Choose a strategyPick one in the left panel, import a code in the Unit Config tab, or record your own.
- Match the loadoutEquip the same towers the strategy uses, in the same hotbar slots. The Config tab shows which tower goes in each slot.
- Press F4Click Start Macro or press F4. Watch the first match to make sure towers land where they should, then let it run.
The macro's tabs
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Config | Pick the active strategy file and see which tower goes in each of your five slots. |
| Record | Record a new strategy while you play a match. |
| Towers | Extra tower actions, such as cloning or DJ track switching. |
| Modifiers | Choose which match modifiers to vote for. |
| Misc | Other options and quality-of-life settings. |
| Strategies | Your saved strategies, plus import and export codes. |
Along the bottom you'll also find Skip Lobby and Sandbox toggles, and a running count of coins and gems earned. The left panel has Join Private Server for farming without other players.
Recording and sharing strategies
The macro is the engine; your strategy is the plan. Strategies come from two places: you record one by playing a match yourself, or you import a code someone else shared. Players post strategies in the community strategies channel of the Discord, and that's where the battle pass strategy in Asphalt Cake's showcase came from.
The one rule when recording: place and upgrade towers with your keyboard only. Our strategy recording guide walks through the whole process, including exporting and importing codes.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| Keeps clicking the bottom corner | It can't find a button. Set UI scale to Default, dock Roblox again, and make sure nothing covers the game. |
| Towers placed in the wrong spot | Don't touch the camera while the macro aligns it. Re-record the strategy if the map changed in an update. |
| Wrong tower placed | Your loadout doesn't match the strategy. Equip the same towers in the same slots. |
| Strategy keeps losing | Use towers you've upgraded, try an easier mode, or import a stronger strategy. |
| Windows blocks the app | Click More info → Run anyway, and extract the whole zip before running it. |
| Broke after a TDS update | Check GitHub for a newer release and ask in the Discord if the problem stays. |
Is the TDS macro safe?
The developer describes it as 100% external: a standalone desktop app with zero code injection that reads the screen and sends normal mouse and keyboard input, the way a person plays. In their words, it's not an exploit, script or cheat. Every release on GitHub links a VirusTotal scan, and you can read why macros get flagged for the usual false positives.
- Download it only from GitHub or the official Discord. Re-uploads elsewhere aren't from the developer.
- The TDS rules have the final say. The developer says macros are allowed in TDS as long as they don't inject. Some players report being removed from leaderboards for macroing, so keep your setup to yourself and check the official TDS rules.
- Recent builds include a Roblox offsets file. That usually means some features read game data directly, read-only, rather than only the screen. Nothing is injected, but it's worth knowing.
Farm the battle pass with it
The fastest way to see what this macro can do is the battle pass. In Asphalt Cake's showcase it earned roughly 1,700 orbs an hour, fully AFK, enough to max the pass in a single night. Our TDS battle pass AFK guide shows how to set that up.
FAQ
Where do I download the TDS macro?
From Luxi's official GitHub releases page. Download the latest TDSMacro zip. Support, updates and community strategies are in the Bamboo Hub Discord.
Is the TDS macro free?
Yes, completely. There's no key, no subscription and no paid tier.
What are the hotkeys?
F4 starts the macro and F5 stops it.
Is the TDS macro a script or exploit?
No. According to its developer, it's a standalone desktop app with zero code injection. It reads the screen and sends normal mouse clicks and key presses, the same way a person plays.
Why does VirusTotal flag "steal web session cookie"?
The developer explains that the app's interface is built with pywebview and Microsoft WebView2, which create and clear their own browser storage, including cookies, when the app starts. Scanners report that as cookie access. The developer posts a VirusTotal scan with every release.
Why does the macro keep clicking the bottom corner?
The macro can't find the button it's looking for. Set your Roblox in-game UI scale to Default, dock Roblox again, and make sure nothing is covering the game window.
Can it play any map?
It plays any map and mode you have a strategy for. The macro is the engine; strategies are recorded by players. Record your own or import a strategy code that someone shares.
Does it work on Mac?
No, it's Windows-only. On a Mac you can record simple loops with the free ExoPanda Recorder; see TinyTask for Mac.
