How to Record a TDS Macro Strategy

The free TDS macro doesn't come with every strategy built in. It's an engine that replays a plan, and the plan is a strategy you either record yourself or import from someone else. Recording takes one match, and once it's saved the macro can replay it all night.

Before you record

• Install the macro and dock Roblox. See the TDS macro download and setup guide.
• Set your in-game UI scale to Default so the macro can find every button.
• Equip your loadout. The towers you record with are the towers the strategy needs.
• Know your plan. Play the map once by hand if you need to; a clean recording is a winning recording.

How to record a strategy

1. Go to the intermission lobbyStart from the TDS intermission lobby, not inside a match.
2. Open the Record tabIn the macro, click the Record tab, then Start Recording.
3. Enter the map and modeA window asks what you're recording. Type the map name, pick the difficulty, and click Start Recording.
4. Let the macro load the mapIt selects the map and joins it for you.
5. Don't touch the cameraWait until the macro shows it's done aligning you. Moving the camera before that makes towers land in the wrong place on replay.
6. Play the match normallyThe macro records your gameplay as you go. Only use your keyboard to place and upgrade towers.
7. Stop and saveWhen you win or lose, click Stop Recording, give the strategy a name, and you're done.

Add extras in the Towers tab

After recording, the Towers tab lets you add actions the recording doesn't cover, such as cloning or switching DJ tracks. Add them now, before you start replaying the strategy.

Play your recorded strategy

Select the strategy, make sure your loadout matches it, and click Start Macro (or press F4). Watch the first replay. If a tower lands off, re-record that strategy rather than trying to fix it mid-run.

How to export a strategy as a code

1. Open the Unit Config tabClick Export.
2. Pick the strategyChoose the one you want to share and hit Export.
3. Copy the codeThe macro generates a code. Send it to a friend or post it in the community strategies channel.

How to import a strategy code

1. Get the codeCopy a strategy code from a friend or the Discord.
2. Paste it into ImportPaste the code into the import field and confirm.
3. Match the loadoutEquip the same towers the strategy was recorded with, in the same slots, then start the macro.

Tips for a strategy that wins every time

• Leave a margin. A strategy that barely wins by hand will lose sometimes on replay. Over-defend a little.
• Record on the mode you'll farm. A Casual strategy won't survive Molten.
• Keep it simple. Fewer towers and fewer actions mean fewer things that can go wrong over hundreds of runs.
• Re-record after big updates. Map or tower changes can break an old strategy.
